Real Estate Achievements

Odebrecht Realizações Imobiliárias emerged in 2004 to strengthen the Organization’s presence in the real estate segment and better reflect the concepts of quality, selectivity and differentiation that characterize Odebrecht’s projects.

OR’s growth is accompanied by a serious commitment to sustainable development. The company is a founding member of the Green Building Council of Brazil, a non-governmental organization that assists in the development and strengthening of the sustainable construction industry in the country. It complies with the precepts of environmental preservation and conservation in all stages of the projects – from planning to execution. Its projects seek to use non-renewable natural resources in a rational way, adopt the most advanced engineering and construction technologies, in addition to promoting human, economic and cultural development in the regions where it operates.

In view of the solid trajectory and positive growth prospects for the coming years, in May 2010, Gávea Investimentos, one of the main asset managers in the Brazilian financial market, became an OR shareholder, through a 14.5% interest in the voting share capital.

OR contributes to consolidate in the Brazilian market the multipurpose complexes that integrate residential, commercial and mall buildings, models that help to solve the growth of large urban centers.

The search to offer residences close to the facilities of large metropolises also directed OR to create new centralities, that is, high-end neighborhoods with all infrastructure developed in total harmony with the environment. This is the case of Vale dos Cristais, in Minas Gerais and Reserva do Paiva, in Pernambuco.

For companies looking for efficiency and personalized options and for investors who want alternative real estate investments and portfolio diversification, OR has developed a specific area for corporate solutions – real estate consulting, structured operations (buit to suit, sale & lease back and retrofit) and engineering and construction services.

For the economic segment, OR has the Bairro Novo brand, dedicated to building planned neighborhoods and participating in the Federal Government’s Minha Casa Minha Vida Program, where in 2011 it delivered 3,500 units.
