Participations and Investments

Odebrecht Participações e Investimentos Ltda. (OPI) has as its main responsibility the management of Odebrecht’s holdings in investments that can originate new business.

OPI leads the Organization’s operations in increasingly diversified infrastructure sectors in Latin America and Portugal. 
His experiences have already given rise to companies such as Foz do Brasil, Odebrecht Energia and Odebrecht TransPort.

Today, OPI focuses on the sectors of:

  • Transport and logistics
  • Sports arenas
  • Irrigation

The company makes investments, traditionally financed in the form of Project Finance , based on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) and Concessions contracts.

Its projects, carried out from the development phase to maturation, are now located in different countries in Latin America:

  • Brazil , in the Fonte Nova Arena project, in Salvador, the first PPP of sports arenas for the 2014 World Cup;
  • Peru , where it includes concessionaires responsible for the expansion and operation of the IIRSA Norte and IIRSA Sulhighways, integration axes in South America. It also invests in the irrigation system in the Vale de Olmos, operated by Concesionaria Trasvase Olmos SA ;
  • Colombia , where it participates in the Rota do Sol Concessionaire, responsible for the expansion and operation of Sector 2 of the Rota do Sol highway, which will link Bogotá to the Caribbean coast;
  • Panama , where it invests on the Madden-Colón highway.
